Borana
We have been pumping water and even supplementing grazing by laying out molasses as well as rebuilding several dams in readiness for some much needed rain. The wildlife has been fantastic despite a current drought – the buffalo and zebra have been working hard to survive. Several new lions have been spotted on Borana, including a huge mane-less male that has arrived from further north. We had a delightful few weeks in August were we had the privilege of not one but two separate wild dog packs in our area. What a treat!

Riding Safaris
The riding has, as always, been spectacular, both around the ranch and into the Northern Rangelands forest as well. Michael and Nicky are currently out traversing Laikipia through the Lolldaigas, Ol Jogi and onto Suyian – Rumuruti in what will be the first commercial horse safari to take this route.
