BORANA
Borana sponsors a mobile health clinic. We have two nurses and one driver trained in VCT counseling and they visit 12 different locations on a bi-monthly basis.
Five of the locations are primary schools and the nurses give lectures on health and sex education to the pupils of these schools. Immunisations are included as part of this programme; in one instance, 200 children were immunised in a single day.
The focus of the mobile clinic is AIDS awareness and family planning alongside an immunisation scheme for babies; minimal amounts of curatives are available for sale.
